Selection Of Tension Clamps in Low-voltage Power Lines

Nov 04, 2024 Leave a message

The selection of tension clamps is mainly determined based on the different conditions of power line conductors. In the construction of 10kV and below power lines, tension clamps are often used at the terminal pole type, branch pole type, tension pole type, and corner pole type of power lines. The commonly used tension clamps include bolt type aluminum alloy tension clamps (NLL) and malleable cast iron tension clamps (NLD).
When installing tension clamps, we need to tighten the screws evenly. It is required that there is no increase in wire stress at the contact surface between the installed wire and the metal, in order to prevent wire damage caused by light wind vibration or other wire oscillations, and ensure that the grip force of the tension clamp on the wire is not less than 95% of the wire's tensile strength.
