A tension clamp refers to a metal fixture used to secure wires, withstand wire tension, and hang wires onto tension strings or towers. According to different structures and installation conditions, it can be roughly divided into two categories. Type 1: The tension clamp must withstand the full tensile force of the conductor or lightning protection wire, and the clamping force of the clamp should not be less than 90% of the rated tensile force of the installed conductor or lightning protection wire, but it is not used as a conductor. This type of wire clamp can be removed and used separately after the installation of the wire.
Key points for installing tension clamps:
1. Select the filling strip, which can be directly cut from the line (steel strand/aluminum clad wire/steel core aluminum strand), and the length of the filling strip is basically the same as the winding part of the tension clamp.
2. Pre twisted tension clamp installation, just install on the ground. After inserting the tension clamp into the heart-shaped ring, start installing one leg of the tension clamp from the installation color code, wrap it with two pitches, and then install the other leg.
3. Continue to wrap both legs around the filling strip at the same time, aligning the end of the filling strip with the end of the tension clamp. For the convenience of installation, the lines of each leg of the last two pitches can be installed separately, otherwise it may cause deformation of the clamp and prevent the tail from being installed in place. Pay attention to the installation of cable clamps, which should not have any intersecting or misaligned lines, and ensure that all line ends are installed in place.
