According to the structural type and installation method, the tension clamps of power line fittings can be mainly divided into four types: compression type tension clamps, bolt type tension clamps, wedge type tension clamps, and pre twisted tension clamps.
Compression type tension clamps are generally composed of aluminum (aluminum alloy) tubes and steel anchors. The steel anchor is used to connect and anchor the steel core of the steel core aluminum stranded wire, while the aluminum (aluminum alloy) tube is used to connect the aluminum (aluminum alloy) wire part of the wire. The aluminum (aluminum alloy) tube and steel anchor are subjected to plastic deformation under pressure, thereby integrating the clamp with the wire as a whole. Compression type tension clamps used for ground wires are generally composed directly of steel anchors. The installation of compression type tension clamps is generally divided into two methods: hydraulic and explosive pressure. The steel anchor of the tension clamp is forged.
Bolt type tension clamps use the vertical pressure of U-shaped screws and the frictional effect generated by the wavy groove of the clamp to fix wires. The body and pressure plate of this type of wire clamp are made of malleable cast iron. Suitable for installing aluminum stranded wire, copper stranded wire, and steel cored aluminum stranded wire with small and medium cross-sections.
The wedge-shaped tension clamp utilizes the splitting force of the wedge to lock the wire (ground wire) inside the clamp. The steel strand is bent into the same shape as the wedge and installed in the clamp. When the steel strand is subjected to force, the wedge and the steel strand slide along the clamp cylinder wall towards the clamp outlet, becoming tighter and gradually locking. The clamp body and wedges are made of malleable cast iron. Used for installing steel strands, fastening ground wires, and pulling wires for cable towers. Installation and removal are both relatively convenient.
The pre twisted tension clamp is composed of metal pre twisted wire and supporting accessories, which tension the wire (ground wire) on the tension tower.
